The definition of Nano

Nano refers to a unit of one billionth of one. The word is derived from a Greek word ‘nanos’, which means a dwarf. One nanometer (nm) is one billionth of a meter, which is equivalent to ten thousandth of a human hair, forming a ultra microorganism. Three or four atoms can fit into a nano. Nano technology is referred to many uses in a wide range of genres.

Nano technology is an integral science that enriches the lives of the humanity by creating new nano-sized materials or equipment that serve many and complicated objectives. The application of nano technology is limitless. It can be applied to areas such as physics, chemistry, electronics, bioengineering, energy, medical, and the environment.

The technology can be categorized as the following;
